In advance of this summer’s Avengers 2: Age of Ultron, Marvel Comics is reaching into their bag of publishing tricks and delivering a full-length Original Graphic Novel from creators Rick Remender and Jerome Opena, entitled Rage of Ultron.
Clever, no?
Rage of Ultron will tell a lost of tale of the mad android, mixed with present day drama, and will “redefine Ultron and have long reaching effects for the Avengers!”
Ultron’s relationship to Hank Pym appears to be front and center in this story, which could be a cause for concern, as it is still unclear what role (if any) the size-altering, original-comics-team-founding scientist will have in the character’s cinematic origin.
Either way, the title and the April 1st release date should position Rage of Ultron well to take advantage of the buzz surrounding the film, which is almost universally considered the most anticipated super hero film of the year.
